October

Hello all!

I have been working on some other projects and had not realized I have not had an entry here in awhile. Well its October AKA Fall a time for rain..  foliage (Here in Mass), the warm weather to be heading south, pumpkin pie, and we wait for the Juke to arrive. Also its the time when models change and the next new thing is coming.  For us this Month its the Nissan Juke.  A new comer to the Nissan Lineup.  And a welcome one at that. I have seen  a bit of a trend leaning towards smaller cars.. Our Last to adds where the Versa and Cube.  Both smaller cars with front wheel drive and very promising gas mileages. Now enter the Juke.  Still not a huge car. But a Small Sporty Suv. AND with All wheel drive and still over 30mpg. Now that's something. We had one come buy and I got a chance to drive and was more than impressed. 188hp in a turbo 1.6L did the job. Honestly hope that they put me in one for a demo. Time will tell on that one.  I am driving a Sentra SR now and I really think it is the car to buy right now. SR model give you the sporty look. Grill, spoiler, wheels..  And with just the upgraded convenience package and you have I-pod hook ups, Bluetooth and the Intelligent key. Now there is a system that's really cool.  Never again will you need to fumble around for your keys..  Just push the request button on the outside handle and you door locks/unlocks. And even thou the Sentra Falls into a Compact Car class it rides and feels like a much more substantial car.  But enough about our cars for now.

October happens to be my favorite month as well as Halloween being my favorite holiday... Some would say All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Eve and is sometimes regarded as the "Celtic New Year".  Depending on what story or where you hear this holiday came from.  Did you know that in other parts of the world they used to carve Turnips and put them about there window sills or door steps.  From what I have read it was us that started using pumpkins due to there size and availability here.  So why would they do this you ask... To ward off the evil spirits of course. Yes this was a time of year where they believed that spirits walked among us. Both the harmful and the harmless.  This is also where the costumes come into play as well.  You have your pumpkin carved and standing guard on your doorstep but how do you get home?  You dress up like an evil spirit so none of them will mess with you.  And we went right for the bad guys.. Vampires, witches, ghosts, ghouls. And mind you that there is not any forms that have been outdated many have been added.  Many families and children would dress up and go from house to house offering prayers for their passed...  And for the families prayers a "Treat" was provided.  hmmm... Would this be the origin or trick or treat.  I would say so..  This is how many a wagon wheel ended up in the middle of the street.  Mischief being a theme here and a home the refused these children offering prayers or stories.. Yes the trick was the result. And as sad as it is.. This tradition also seem to be alive and kicking.  Do you know someone that has had the home decorated in a not so nice manner?  I think we all do.  And it happens a lot more during this time of year.  I also enjoy Salem Mass in this time of year as they seem to go all out. This is an area with a history all its own. With Wiccan (witches) and the like still out and about.  It makes for a great tourist area in this time.  Or any time for that matter.  I know where I plan on going this Halloween.

Hope your having a great day!

Keep Smiling

2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid Savings!~

Wow,

So this month has been a bit crazy here at Bertera Nissan.  They are basically telling us all Altima deals must go before the month is up. Now what I consider the REAL DEAL is the Hybrid...  We can take $7,500 OFF!! You may also qualify for a tax break of up to $2,350...  Now I am no math whiz here.. But that's almost 10 GRAND! And the hybrid get somewhere over 30mpg in a full size sedan... So why do we even have any sitting here.. The only guess I have is that you do not know about this.. You might know about the tax credit.. or the huge discounts.. But did you know about BOTH?? I put up the New car special on our page so you know its there.. We do not have allot of hybrids left but want to get as many as possible sold and to you before these incredible savings are gone. Do not miss this one!!!

Random Thought of the day.

Summer finally seems like it is here and I know I LOVE it! With the beginning of every month it seems the race is on to the end. We just had a great month and will do everything we can do do the same this month. (OR BETTER!) It is just as in anything in this life. A "cycle." Now whether your goals are further away like say 10 years.. When that time is up and your goal is met its time to start it over. Some goals are set for a year or even a month.. But you can start small and say whats my goal for today?? You would be surprised at your ending if you chose this path. We have a month to do what we need to here at Bertera Nissan. But what if there was no such thing as procrastination in day to day activities even in your life. How much more would be done. Or how much closer would you get to your goal before its actual deadline? And do not get me wrong here.. My point is simple and not along the lines of we waste time or we're lazy.. Just a different aspect from what is considered the norm for most. We are given a week.. month, year, and sometimes even more to achieve what is considered a "goal." Why not wake up get ready and say what can I do for this today. Set and do what we set out to for that day. The only way to chop down a tree is one swing at a time. And over and over until the job is done. So take your swing daily! We all know what we need to do. Day in and day out. Change it up just a little make it fun and you will probably get that little extra swing done without even noticing.

I learned a little acronym a long time ago from a friend that I think we all should know. P.M.A= Positive Mental Attitude! We all know a smile is contagious. right??? If not try smiling at a stranger and see what happens.. Yup you guessed it. They smiled back. Or even do it to someone you know. Well not a creepy smile cause you might not get one back. Or they might think your up to something.. Well you are.. lol. It is the same with your attitude. If its positive it rubs off. Same with the other side. We will call it the dark-side for conversation sake. Now if you choose PMA and step out of the house in the am or even better get out of bed with it your day just might seem a bit brighter. The nag through out your day might not be as bad or might even have some PMA rub off on it. There are those who just choose to be grumpy... So be it. It is a choice you know. An its your choice to choose PMA or the dark side. What will you choose?? I asked in another piece I wrote for you to pick a person and appreciate them. Today I am asking for you to pick you. Give yourself a little bit of love and love yourself for doing it. That's the truth behind PMA. So give it a whirl.. get up look in the mirror and say today is my day. Give it a "ROAR!" lol. No I don't do that but sounded good.

It always comes to this closing part where I get lost for words.. Have I said enough... Or to little.. Do you think I got my message across... Well that's just it. Its not all about what I write but what you take from it. Interpretation per say. It is not always what someone is trying to write or say with there words. Three people can read the same thing and get three completely different messages from it. Some just read the story. Some will look for a message in it. And some will try to see what the person writing it wrote it for. Now hows that for crazy.. LOL. Yes these are the things I think of when writing or reading. But I aim for all... There's your secret for the day about me. HAHA! Well I hope your having that great day as you should!

Smile! You never know who is watching...

Dealership Review

I wanted to share a review I received a little while ago.. Every time I read it, it make me remember why I do what I do. This was submitted on www.DealerRater.com and you can view the actual submission just by clicking here.

Now this is just something someone decided to write about me. I worked with her and greatly appreciate it but just one of those things where you feel great about the job that you have done. It also reminds me that not enough of us praise the people who deserve it. But you read it and let me know what you think. I already know how it makes me feel!

  My Review of Bertera Nissan:

When I came to Bertera Nissan it was my first experience buying and negotiating for a car and the whole team, Jereme especially, went above and beyond to be sure I was comfortable, happy and satisfied with my experience. They did everything they could to be sure I received the price I was looking for, both for my new car and my trade in. Even though Jereme was a stranger, I felt like he was more of a friend and always believed he was looking out for my best interest rather than just trying to make a sale... an important experience for a first time buyer!

When my car was hit from behind and nearly totaled, Bertera helped me navigate the mess, even setting me up with a nearby auto mechanic they personally trusted and recommended. It was such a relief to have their help during such a stressful time. Other dealers/sales staff write you off once the sale is done, but Bertera and Jereme are there for the whole ride.

My experience with Bertera and Jereme was truly a great one and I look forward to coming back to get my next Nissan! Thanks Guys!

I think we all have someone out there that has made us feel that way... Why not reach out and do something like this for them..  I know I am going to right after this!  Thanks for reading!

And something I always say. HAVE A GREAT DAY! Smile... You never know who is watching. 8-)

Thanks again for your time,

May New Car Specials

Just wanted to share that we have some New Car Specials up on our main page www.berteranissan.com.  You can view the specials by clicking here! A Lot is going on as it seems we skipped right over spring and went directly for summer! The nice weather is here and I know some of you want to get that new or new to you vehicle to head to the beach in. Now it just depends on if its that coupe or convertible for you and your sweetie or the sedan or suv for your family. We can help you decide right here and see what is best for your family and your budget. You still want to have that extra left to spend at the beach or campground right?!?! Just as the tree's are coming to life right before your very eyes it seems most people do in this great time of year as well. Cookout, Pool parties, or just relaxing around the bonfire with great friends. That's the life right there! Summertime... Just saying the word you can smell the flowers and hear the cool crisp air or fire crackling.. Try it.  I just did and feel that warm glow inside. ahhhhh..

Well its back to back to work for now. But it tis the season.. That what ever the reason.. People just smile!

Hope your having a great day!

Appreciation. My first real entry into the Blog world.

Hello all its me again.

Just sitting in our show room and have a couple moments to write. So here we are. I look around at all the New Nissan's and Pre owned cars and wonder what we would do with out them. I had a conversation the other day about one of my cousins who came to her marriage in a horse and buggy. Now as cool as that was imagine if that was every day life. No motors running. Cell phones with blue-tooth that you don't even need to touch your cellphone to pick them up anymore. We have it so easy in comparison to those days.  Having to actually work for your meal. And I mean all the way from planting a seed to watering breaking down the grain and "making" your meal.  Not just placing your order at the drive thru window! Seriously. Have you ever really sat and thought about what we have, and where it came from? Or even how these things work.  I mean basically everyone has a hand held device on them at all times that connects them to the world! From a simple phone call (with no strings or lines) to an email or web browser. Welcome to the connected world. When was the last time you sent someone a hand written letter instead or an e-mail. To have the world at the palm of your hand is not just a statement anymore. Its a way of life that we just accept to be normal. I for one have a Blackberry or better known as a Crackberry. Cause once you have one you cant be without it. And there are the I-phones.  I wont even begin to list out the available options that the phones give you.  But we don't even need laptops anymore. These items will connect to your home computer..  Car... the radio.. Just about anything. Pretty soon you will be able to open your garage door from your phone. (if you cant already...)  I am just amazed at how far we have come from so little.

Who would of thought we would take a mineral or metal, reshape them, put the pieces together, and make an item that can take us places at what was at one point was an unrealistic speed. We have had 3 GT-R's come and go through our Showroom here at Bertera Nissan. Now that might be a bit overkill for a comparison but even the car you get behind the wheel everyday and probably take for granted is in some sense a miracle.  Who out there just believes you turn the key or press a button (yes just a button) and it goes. Put your hands down. hahaha. Someone in a land long ago sat and said.. "HEY" if I put this highly combustible item in this chamber with this movable piece it can push I can use its energy to make my life easier... and easier.. and easier!  I think I see a trend here.

We all have our lazy moments per say. But who out there is not in some way doing something to make someone else's life easier or less complicated. And how frustrated do we tend to get at things or people when things don't go "just our way."  Take one sec to think about that guy or girl (have to be p.c. here) that you may have just freaked out on whether it be on the phone or in person.  What were they really trying to do? I know that something had to happen to enrage you.. But that person , I would be willing to say, was trying to help..  I am thinking of all of my friends and what they do.. And every single one is helping someone else.. I guess you would have to look at it that way thou. Life in all is a perspective and viewed from the eyes of the beholder.

In closing to my random rant of the day. Hey, its my blog right? haha. I guess I am asking you to take a day and appreciate the things and people around you. From the time you get up. Yes to that annoying alarm clock that is just trying to wake you up at the time you set it.  Remember that it could be that rooster in your window of times past. But really take a day to appreciate all the things in your life. And just how easy we really have it. Life really is good! Its up to you to decide just how good it really is.

Best wishes and happy day to you,
